Song for Clementine

Written after songwriting class with Love Femme from Amo Amo who put these lyrics to music in the most haunting, beautiful way. Forever grateful.

Love song for Clementine

FIRST VERSE:

Your hair, a tangle of shadows.
Long legs, tumble over spring grass.
Fingers that are my arrow.
Eyes, the north star I seek at last.

You are the lightening tongue.
A child of Tauarus,
the bullheaded star bursting.
Your direction always lit for us.

CHORUS:
Clementine, you are Polaris
A dusting of magic.
The milkyway in my arms.
Eyes, the bluest hue of static.

SECOND VERSE:

The God, she wove together
your body of threaded gold.
A voice that will grow all things.
The greatest story ever told.

I am devoted to the magic.
My own that grew from these hands.
The witchcraft you pull from the sky.
Your incantation, a song in my hand like sand.

CHORUS:
Clementine, you are Polaris.
A dusting of magic.
The milkyway in my arms.
Eyes, the bluest hue of static
